Hello sir. Can you introduce a little bit about yourself?

I am Stephen James Banks, born in England, currently living and working in Hue. I am a professional golfer and the Golf Course Manager at Laguna Lang Co, Hue.

What made you decide to perform cataract surgery?

Before that, I still wore glasses at work and in daily activities. However, I want to be able to have free vision, not dependent on glasses, to be more comfortable in movement and exercise. That's why I've been thinking about cataract surgery for a long time, thoroughly researching surgical methods and types of artificial lenses.

After 1 month of cataract surgery using the Phaco method, how is your vision now?

It's still early to say what my distance vision will be like when playing golf, but for now, my average vision is very good. I saw a little halo - the nurses told me this was normal after surgery and would disappear after about 2 weeks. If you intend to have cataract surgery, you should also learn about the symptoms you may experience after surgery so you don't have to worry!

What advice do you have for people who are also thinking about cataract surgery?

People with cataracts should see a doctor early and should not delay surgery. Eye surgery is very important, you should take the time to research information, prepare costs, arrange rest time, etc. Besides, you need to have a strong mentality and good health to have the surgery. .
